MUSIC THERAPY
IS HERE

The Growing Role of Music in Western Medicine

A significant increase in the use of music therapy is being observed in Modern Healthcare.

Musical Medications

“Musical Medications” currently has a library of music from many cultures that have healed thousands of people and gotten ROI for the company, investors, and the cultures that create the music.

The Work of MAKE.BELIEVE.MUSIC

Make.Believe.Music has forged valuable relationships with numerous tribes in Brazil and Peru, building an extensive library through years of dedicated recording efforts.

Currently there is a lack of research into the healing potential of South American indigenous music and a curated cultural library.

Linking Music to Medical Resources

We'll partner with doctors, hospitals, and health experts (your medical partner's network) to co-create and test our music. For example, using hospital facilities to play our tracks during patient treatments or recovery, turning music into a tool doctors recommend like a prescription.

Market Validation & Research

With initial funding, we'll run simple trials in medical settings – like tracking how our music lowers anxiety in patients before surgery. These studies (done ethically with medical pros) will provide data showing real results, like "patients felt 20% calmer," to prove our music works.

Economic Impact: Deloitte NeuroArts study showed music therapy for Alzheimer’s yields ~31,600 QALYs gained annually and a 1.7x ROI, saving billions in care costs.

Scientific Efficacy: Research supports frequency-tuned music. 432Hz reduces anxiety and blood pressure; 528Hz lowers cortisol, increases oxytocin, and improves mood; binaural beats reduce chronic pain and anxiety. These findings validate Make.Believe’s music-as-medicine approach.

Building Credibility

By collaborating with trusted medical facilities and referencing established reports (e.g., from Deloitte or Men’s Health on music's health benefits), we gain legitimacy. This isn't a random music startup; it's endorsed by healthcare pros, making it appealing to insurers or clinics who might integrate our app.

WE ARE IN A VIDEO CONTENT DRIVEN WORLD

having video as a sales tool for the library licensing is a necessary component. MAKE.BELIEVE.MUSIC & MAKE.BELIEVE.PICTURES are under the same ownership. We are a turn key content creation machine.

Founded in 2012, Calm pivoted from a relaxation website to a wellness platform & mobile app. Strategic Funding led to a $1 billion valuation in 2019 and $2 billion in 2020, driven by content marketing and healthcare expansion. With over 150 million downloads, Calm dominates all digital wellness platforms.

Investment Opportunities and Partnerships

With financial backing, Make.Believe.Music is ready to finalize its groundbreaking music library. Their partnership with Musical Medications and Johns Hopkins Hospital, which has strong distribution networks with healthcare providers, highlights the significant healing potential and promising return on investment.

PARTNERSHIP STRATEGIES

B2B Healthcare Alliances

Collaborate with hospitals, insurers, nursing facilities, dental clinics, and EMR platforms to integrate therapeutic music into patient care. For example, Epic’s MyChart (the leading patient portal with ~190 million users) could deliver curated playlists to patients as part of care plans.

We would license our sound healing music to healthcare providers and major labels like Sony for recurring royalties (50-75k quarterly potential).

Our goal would be to Produce 10 albums every 6 months for a scalable library, valued by full publisher's share ownership.

B2C / Digital App Embeds

Embed Make.Believe’s content into popular consumer health apps to rapidly scale reach. Targets include Flo Health (~70 million monthly active users), Strava (~150 million users), mySugr (6 million+ accounts), Ro (telehealth platform with millions of patients), and Henry Meds (fast-growing GLP-1 service). By offering our curated tracks via API or in-app integration, these partners gain a new wellness feature while we access their large subscriber bases.

We would offer a subscription app with 100-200 sound healing tracks, marketed via TikTok and Instagram for 100k downloads.

Aim for 2-5% paid conversions and 75% retention using AI and wellness partnerships.

REVENUE MODELS

B2B Licensing

Enterprise Licensing & Royalties: Monetize our music library by licensing to institutions and via music distributors. Sub-publisher deals with major labels (Sony, Universal, etc.) distribute the catalog globally, leveraging their marketing reach. Content production is scheduled at ~20 albums per year (~10 every 6 months) to continually expand.

Licensing deals provide recurring royalties; for example, a $3.5M investment in content could yield $50–$75K in quarterly royalties from B2B clients and distribution channels. Because Make.Believe retains 100% publishing rights, these fees flow back to the company (with songwriter splits).

B2C Subscription

Consumer App Subscriptions: Offer a mobile app where individuals subscribe for unlimited access to the therapeutic music library. Pricing follows a PMPM (per member per month) model at ~$2.99–$5.00 per user. The app offers AI-driven recommendations, playlists by health condition, and offline listening. We will launch with ~100–200 tracks and continually add ~75–100 tracks per quarter.

Marketing aims for ~100K downloads initially, with an expected conversion rate of 2–5% from free to paid subscribers. Projected ~25,000 paying users in Year 1 and ~100,000 by Year 2. Retention goal: ~75% annually.

COHORTS & SOCIAL/ CULTURE IMPACT

Target Cohorts & Population Health Alignment

Chronic Pain: ~20% of U.S. adults live with chronic pain, creating demand for non-opioid relief tools.

Mental Health & Cognitive Disorders: Anxiety, PTSD, depression, dementia – music interventions reduce anxiety and improve cognitive function.

Chronic Diseases: Hypertension, diabetes, cancer patients benefit from stress reduction and improved outcomes.

Weight Loss & Metabolic Health: Complements GLP-1 weight-loss medications (e.g., Ozempic) by aiding mindfulness and stress reduction.

Social Impact & Cultural Alignment

Indigenous Co-Creation Model: Content sourced and co-created with indigenous artists, with 50% of writer royalties shared directly with communities. This ensures ongoing economic benefit.

One-for-One Ethos: Inspired by TOMS Shoes. Every subscription or license generates direct recurring revenue for indigenous creators. This builds a virtuous cycle of cultural sustainability and business growth. Authentic social impact strengthens brand credibility and appeal with impact-focused investors.

PROOF OF CONCEPT

“Musical Medication” invested $200K into a small scale platform called “GOMO”. GOMO grossed $600K with a NET profit of $400K. The concept works, now we want to scale it up with a never-before-heard library of music.
